Photos!

We've started posting photos, from both the Civil Ceremony and the Wedding Ceremony and reception. We have recently recieved the photo proofs from the wedding photographer and are in the process of scanning them in and organizing them for the web. (He took over 200 photos, so this will take some time, please bear with us and check back frequently as we update the photo section.

These are just some of the huge trove of photos taken and we will be posting more as time permits us to sort, organize and caption more. Julie wore a traditional Chinese robe for the civil ceremony and a beautiful white gown for the wedding ceremony.

Reception Slide Show

At our reception, we had our Apple iMac playing MP3's (we own the CD's to all the songs played) and giving a slide show of photo of us, friends and family over the years. We've taken those photos, and along with our first and last song and made a Quicktime movie slide show for you. Currently we only have the high quality version which is really large (12.3 MB). So unless you have a faster internet connection, or lots of time (almost an hour for a 56K modem) don't click this link. The songs are "Beautiful in My Eyes" by Joshua Kadison, and "Now and Forever" by Richard Marx. (That page is hosted on Apple's iTools server)

How We Met?

Winston and I met at Case Western Reserve University where we were pursuing degrees in the field of Macromolecular Science. We both received our Master's Degree in Macromolecular Science and Winston went on to pursue his Doctorate in Macromolecular Science at CWRU university as well. We also lived in the same apartment building, that is Waldorf Towers. We became good friends and spent a lot of time at each other's apartment, just enjoying the other one's company. We would put puzzles together and watch shows like reruns of Mash, a favorite of Winston's at the time. He would cook me some great meals and taught me that great, healthy meals can be made in a relatively short time. Later, in an effort to save money while going to graduate school, we shared an apartment and became closer. Soon, we decided to date and that is how we arrived where we are today, engaged and about to be married. We became engaged at 12:00 a.m. on February 14, 2001, at the beginning of my birthday.
